Macpherson’s photographic and video works examine memory and identity through layered imagery, emphasising fragmentation and resisting linear narrative. This series overlays video stills to reconstruct a dream featuring an ambiguous, displaced figure — at once familiar and anonymous.

The pixellation technique mirrors the fragility of memory. As Macpherson describes it: ‘Through the static, images appear, capturing a new reality caught between the known and the unknown.’
